About

Herefordshire Photographic Society arranges, talks, demonstrations, visits and discussions in order to promote the knowledge and ability of it's members to take good photographs and enjoy their hobby. In addition our programme includes a social content. Throughout our season we have guest speakers who come along, show their work and share their photographic experiences.

Whilst most members are purely amateur in their interest we have some who have Royal Photographic Society (RPS) qualifications. This mix provides a good font of knowledge and ability to help photographers at all levels.

The societies year historically ran from September to May but we now run through the summer months to take advantage of the longer days and all the opportunities that that brings.

We regularly combine an outing with a pre-determined theme followed by a critique session the following month to enable members to compare their interpretation and comment on each others work.

All in all it is an informal and friendly atmosphere with new members given a warm welcome.
